I would then take it as signal that the Kusama community would rather keep this extra step. The outcome will likely also mirror on Polkadot.
NOT Voting means "Yep, get rid of this extra costly human check".
Since its introduction, Registrar #1
is performing a human verification for every single identity verification.
This is even currently done twice per verification and I plan on reducing this to either 1 occurence or even 0.
Whether a human verification should be maintained is the topic of this vote and I would like to gather the general opinion. This is a signaling vote and I reserve the right to make the final call on this topic.
I am inclined to remove the human step for every single verification for the following reasons:
