I would propose a different exercise - instead of evaluating the project by cost - identify the projects ( infrastructure, governance, technical, user experience, …) that are mission critical “to keep the Polkadot lights on” - from also a strategical point of view, not to fall into a descending spiral (less services, less users).
The first question to answer is: what do we need, and then how much does it cost?

Distractive is one of the highest recipients of marketing and events bounty. Do you know how much it got from the events and marketing bounty.
Also, I am not able to understand How is Eric also the curator of the marketing bounty and also a part of Distractive team. Doesn’t its a sign of conflict of interest?

Oh my… the network’s revenue is driven almost entirely by inflation, and the 16,834 DOT in transaction fees will very likely drop to under 2,000 DOT after the migration to AssetHub. On top of that, Coretime currently has very little demand. I want to stay optimistic, but it’s honestly difficult.

But in this specific case I guess that is not an intentional sandwich, it’s a very well known arbitrage bot (with high volume) in Hydration. Probably what you see there is the sell orders of the bot to arbitrage cex/dex (that are always done in batches) + a tx dragged from another block due async, and by chance the unfortunate user swapping got in the middle… so, this specific case will happen anyway with the mempool encrypted <img src="https://emoji.discourse-cdn.com/twitter/grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes.png?v=15" title=":grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:" class="emoji" alt=":grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:" loading="lazy" width="20" height="20">
Checking the example block provided by OP is not even a sandwich of any kind, because (1) the asset pair of the “frontrun” is a different asset from the “victim’s” trade, is to sell KSM to USDT in fact driving down the price of KSM, (2) the “victim” was selling ASTR for asset id 10 that is USDT (3) USDT price cannot be moved up with the size of this trade, (4) the “back run” is in the same direction, selling ASTR for USDT, and (5) the “victim” and the “attacker” are trading in different stables pools, one in 2-pool and the other in 4-pool <img src="https://emoji.discourse-cdn.com/twitter/joy.png?v=15" title=":joy:" class="emoji" alt=":joy:" loading="lazy" width="20" height="20">

Ok, I see your point. I do not agree.
Those are VC operations and yes they do have lawyers to set up things but not all projects are launched under a VC umbrella, and we do need the Common goods chains/ventures or small independent new ventures to be able to use some of this free tools. I think they do need this because they are working with their own capital or their friends money.
Agree, this bounty has been silence for a long while but they have put forward something of value in the legal front to help new ventures launch I will give then the benefit of the doubt, and keep my eyes on them in this regard.

Sorry to say Oliver but disregarding someones views because they use a tool (calculator) to better the message they want to send is probably not the thing to do, but a personal choice to the detriment of your own persona.
To write a reply to an forum post with the help of AI is not bad and probably everyone should try it, we do not live in a binary world, what I know is that we need to start being open to everyone opining, as an example is like me saying… because you use copilot to help write code is a bad thing, and no-one should use the software created by that tool…
I think you have to consider that if you feel that I do not bring anything useful to the ecosystem by using AI to better send a message, then I can see that as ignoring and as a result pushing people out of the ecosystem because they will be ignored… probably not the right message to send. everyone with a positive view in the ecosystem is more than welcome to stay in my opinion, everyone has something that will advance the platfrom in many ways, giving a platform and agreeing with the previous post really is showing your narrow views on the matter.

It looks like my question has gone unanswered. If we are proposing paying validators with something called a stablecoin, we should make sure it is actually that. A stablecoin backed by future revenue is not a stablecoin, it is unsecured debt.

The circular economy has become a guiding vision for sustainable industry, but most real-world implementations are still plagued by the same problems:

What if prices, specialization, and material flows emerged organically, like the patterns on a seashell or the structure of a forest ecosystem—through purely local rules and distributed optimization?
That’s exactly what I’ve been working on.

Inspired by Alan Turing’s 1952 morphogenesis model, I’ve extended my previous work on convex exchange economies into a full-blown reaction–diffusion economic framework, where:
