Dear council members,

Subsequent to the passing of motion 577, all of the newly opened collator slots on Statemine were reserved within the first few minutes. There are members of the community who wish to aid by providing collation services to the Statemine chain.

This XCM call seeks to increase the number of public collators from 8 to 12 by executing call_data 0x15010c000000 on Statemine.

A member of the community (bLD) expressed interest via the direction channel and others have voiced their interest and preparedness within the Statemine & Statemint collator channel. Joe was also party to the conversation and gave an endorsement.

I leave it to the council to decide if these additional slots should be opened.
