Apologies for the oversight. Here's the revised description for Davide, including the missing links:
After thorough discussions during the first fellow meetup, we have collectively decided to promote Davide to Rank II in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the Polkadot project. Since joining the team, Davide has predominantly focused on consensus-related tasks, demonstrating his expertise in this crucial area.
One of Davide's initial tasks involved the development of a robust revert mechanism for key components such as BABE, Grandpa, and Parachains Consensus. This mechanism plays a critical role in effectively reverting a block on a node, ensuring the proper cleanup of stale data. Moreover, Davide implemented a logic solution to address issues related to an excessive number of sibling blocks on parachains, effectively tackling the problem when a parachain failed to import its blocks on the relay chain. You can find the details of his work in addressing this issue here.
Davide's primary body of work, extensively documented by himself in this issue, demonstrates his commitment and dedication. He actively engaged in the Sassafras research project, immersing himself in the implementation of this protocol in Substrate/Rust. His progress has been remarkable, with multiple iterations already completed, and he is currently focusing on the VRF implementation, maintaining close collaboration with the research team. Additionally, Davide presented the status of Sassafras at Sub0 2022. You can watch his presentation here, where he effectively communicated the advancements and insights regarding the project.
Considering Davide's exemplary work record and his significant impact on the project, the fellows unanimously concluded that promoting him to Rank II is a well-deserved and reasonable decision. We firmly believe that Davide's continued contributions will play a crucial role in advancing the project's objectives and success.
