## Runtime Upgrade 1.9.1

Upgrades the Kusama Relay Chain and System Parachains to [v1.9.1](https://github.com/polkadot-fellows/runtimes/releases/tag/v1.9.1). This replaces ref [#600](https://kusama.subsquare.io/referenda/600).

This is a preparation for the Asset Hub Migration (see [FAQ](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1XR3vL2p4QV0wC7FrlC8eN-q62BqNFTFElbj21wEmMGg/edit?tab=t.0#heading=h.vxykbd6ai7n7)). The migration is not immediately activated after the upgrade but rather schedules itself.

## Invulnerable Change For Asset Hub

We have added three more invulnerables from the set of permissionless collators in the protocol to improve the censorship resistance of Asset Hub post-AHM. Now that governance, staking and more other functionality is moving to AH this is needed more than ever.
The numbers have been decided in collaboration with W3F researchers, and the specific collators who are put forward are those who have proven themselves and are "up next" according to the System Parachain collator bounty.

## Timeline

### Block 30,406,134 (ca 6th Oct, 8 AM UTC)

The referenda passes and upgrades the runtimes. This should be handled like any normal runtime upgrade.

### Block 30,423,691 (ca 7th Oct, 11:59 AM UTC)

The Asset Hub migration starts and finishes within the next 6 hrs.

Here's a simple summary of the upgrade:

* Kusama network is getting an update
* This prepares for moving important functions to Asset Hub
* Three more trusted validators are being added
* This helps keep the network secure
* The upgrade happens first
* The big migration starts about a day later
* The migration takes about 6 hours to complete
* Everything should work normally during these changes
