Customized web page that Explores the Polkadot Blockchain: Historical Data in GlassNode Style Charts and Analysis of relevant events in it.

Introduction

I am an enthusiastic investor in the Polkadot ecosystem and have noticed a gap in the availability of historical data and detailed statistics on the Polkadot chain. With an analyst, software developer and some design skills, I took on the task of creating a custom web platform that offers access to a wide variety of comparative historical charts. My goal is to provide a useful tool for both investors and traders as well as content creators interested in the Polkadot ecosystem.

Objectives and Scope

On this platform, he planned to include between 15 and 25 historical charts addressing aspects such as supply by era, annual supply inflation, price comparison with rewards, historical records of whales and holders, and more. I am taking as a reference the functionality of GlassNode on the Bitcoin chain to ensure usefulness and ease of use but taking into account relevant particularities such as graphs related to Staking and rewards. Among the objectives, it is also planned to add a section of alerts about the most relevant events that occur within the chain. This will allow you to expand the reach of the platform through publications on social networks or sending emails.

Target Audience

The platform is designed to meet the needs of two main groups of users: Directly, it targets investors and traders who are looking for detailed information on the status of Polkadot to support their investment decisions. Indirectly, it will serve as a valuable data source for content creators, analysts, and anyone interested in the Polkadot ecosystem.

Website Development

The platform is being developed from the ground up using technologies such as Angular and possibly C# .NET. No pre-existing templates will be used, which guarantees a unique design and easy scalability. Additionally, it will integrate packages such as Chart.js to improve data presentation. The goal is to create an aesthetic, functional and easy-to-navigate design.

Examples of how the website will possibly look.

Data Collection

All data comes from direct sources, including the Polkadot API for on-chain data and the Binance API for trading data. The data is carefully manipulated to create accurate graphs and statistics. Currently, data has been collected on supply, number of holders and prices, among others.

Progress

On-chain data collection is ongoing, but much more data still needs to be collected and algorithms fine-tuned for new charts. 8 graphs have been created with real data and 7 more are in process. The goal is to have 25 charts updated daily. Frontend development is progressing, although there are still details to be polished, such as adaptation to mobile devices.

Roadmap

Data security and part of the backend development remain pending. In the medium term (possibly thinking about a second installment) I plan to add an alerts section. This will expand the reach of the platform through publications on social networks and direct communication with the community.

Brand and Name

The platform brand will not be directly related to Polkadot (Ex: PolkaChi), but will be aligned with Polkadot's long-term vision.

Community Consultations

I am thinking about whether it is better to launch the complete platform including alerts in a first delivery or do more than one delivery partially showing the progress. What do you think? Mainly to show results if the proposal advances.

I already have useful graphs in mind for all types of analysis but I am open to suggestions for additional historical graphs.

Is the Topic I'm using okay? Should I do GOV1 or GOV2? What do you recommend?

I am currently alone carrying out this project but I am open to the possibility of collaboration

Budget

Given my lack of knowledge in budgeting for projects of this type, I would like to have guidance on an appropriate and fair price range for a platform of this complexity and usefulness. If you think I should give more details to be able to do so, listen to suggestions.  For my part it can be in DOTs regardless of the price

Proposal Process to the Treasury

I am requesting guidance on the process to formally submit this proposal to treasury. Is it okay that this was the first step? Should I make another proposal or continue in comments? Is there another prior step before formalizing a proposal? How would payments be received? Any advice on this topic is welcome.

Thanks and Farewell

I appreciate your attention and am open to suggestions or corrections to my approach. This is my first post on a community forum, so any additional advice on how to improve this proposal would be greatly appreciated.

Kind regards.

NOTE: I am Spanish speaking and my English is limited so I used a translation application to be able to make the presentation. I hope you know how to understand.
