Polkadot's OpenGOV has been receiving a series of proposals from Content Creators not affiliated with the ecosystem. Many of these proposals failed, as they needed to generate more value for the Polkadot ecosystem, among other issues.

 

However, what sets this proposal apart from all the others?

 

Polkadot UPSIZE is a six-month education and brand awareness campaign (thinked as a framework) targeting the Brazilian audience (as a proof of concept — POC), anchored in content production from high-audience Content Creators who are also educators and conducted through native verification methods and Web3 participation.

Polkadot UPSIZE is an initiative for better communicating the ecosystem while fulfilling expectations for quality, compliance and cost-effectiveness in the qualification of Polkadot Agents (Ambassadors), among other crucial points that contribute to the success of this endeavor.

 

We aim to spread awareness about the value of Polkadot by collaborating with selected educational Content Creators, primarily on YouTube — the main platform for crypto enthusiasts in Brazil. We aim to ensure a smooth onboarding experience for newcomers by delivering well-crafted messages about Polkadot and its ecosystem.

 

Polkadot UPSIZE aims to establish a strong presence in the Brazilian blockchain landscape and abroad by creating awareness and as a powerful learning hub for new builders, investors, researchers and enthusiasts to learn about the DOT ecosystem. We want this initiative to be the gateway for the next generation to gain knowledge and understanding of Polkadot. In addition to being able to serve as a procedural basis for similar initiatives in other countries.


Some objectives of Polkadot UPSIZE are:


  • Develop a list of topics that are of utmost priority for the ecosystem but need adequate attention from these high-audience channels. We want to address topics fundamentally to understand Polkadot's mission and unique value proposition deeply.

  • To establish a curation criterion to select high-audience Content Creators who are natural educators and have a real qualified audience and follower base. Furthermore, ensuring their work is technology-driven and compliant with content appreciated by the community (particularly avoiding speculative topics, notably asset pricing).

  • Ensuring the freedom of expression and opinion for the included Content Creators in this stimulus plan, provided they address topics that generate value for the ecosystem in Brazil.

  • Thoroughly crafting all content through SEO techniques in titles, descriptive texts and metadata, leveraging audience triggers to introduce essential terms and vocabulary for understanding ecosystem-relevant topics.

  • Generating content in tune with the Brazilian scenario, particularly concerning the characteristics of the interested audience.

  • Shifting investors' short-term and speculative outlook towards a genuine interest in the fundamentals of Polkadot's technology.

  • Establishing KPIs aligned with optimizing the cost per click of the term 'Polkadot' on the YouTube platform for the Brazilian market. We aim to produce this content below the current USD 1.96 per click cost.

  • Payment criteria for Content Creators based on objective factors rather than subjective ones.

  • Establishing a clear policy regarding the return of funds to the treasury in cases where, due to force majeure, were not utilized.

  • Providing comprehensive awareness of this proposal to all included Content Creators, deepening their understanding of our OpenGOV's processes and procedures.

  • For transparency and financial control purposes, only collaborate with Content Creators who previously agreed to open Identified Accounts, and channels audited.

  • Encourage the rising of new leadership within the Polkadot ecosystem by involving well known Agents (Ambassadors), who will also receive incentives for actively participating in these Content Creation processes.

  • Preserving the Content Creators' right to choose Agents (Ambassadors) for their videos, while ensuring impartiality in selection and schedule, aiming to maintain a criterion of no preferences. Any potential participation will be decided and agreed upon directly between the Content Creators and these Agents (Ambassadors).

  • Release of usage rights and reuse of images for compilation and editing purposes (production of derivative media) by ecosystem users (DOT holders in any geolocation), provided that these pieces individually utilize excerpts at most 5 minutes in duration.

  • At the end of this process, generate a dataset that confirms the effectiveness of our approach over time.


For this, we will issue the following comparative reports:


Production Report (Short Term) — Daily verification, and monthly consolidation.

Final Report (Medium Term) — After the 5-month campaign period.

Post-Campaign Effects 1 (Long Term - Semester) — Verification 6 months after the end of the publications.

Post-Campaign Effects 2 (Long Term - Year) — Verification 12 months after the publication's end.

All these points above constitute the scope of this proposal, which we hereby open for the proper consideration of all interested parties.
