Although Kusama has 1,000 total validators, only 200 have been participating in parachain validation. In order to support more parachain cores, the network will need to support a higher number of parachain validators. This proposal increases that number to 250.
If this succeeds, this will give confidence to increasing the value on Polkadot as well to support more parachains there.
