Polkadot and Kusama are innovative projects that aim to make the cryptocurrency ecosystem more accessible to developers and end-users. LocalCoinSwap is a platform that aims to bridge the gap between technology and accessibility by providing a simple system for users to purchase cryptocurrency directly from each other. They use decentralized technology to protect traders from fraud or hacking, while abstracting the need to understand the underlying technology from non-technical end-users.

LocalCoinSwap's mission is to provide a platform where users can buy and sell KSM and DOT for any local fiat currency in every region of the world. They will extend their P2P cryptocurrency exchange to support non-custodial wallets and trading for these assets, ensuring no platform risk, no political risk, and a high level of anonymity for users.

A decentralized fiat on-ramp is essential for the adoption of Polkadot, as it allows users to own and use KSM/DOT without having to purchase intermediate cryptocurrencies. LocalCoinSwap believes that creating mainstream accessibility to the next generation of blockchain applications is crucial for their success.

On chain treasury proposal - Non-custodial P2P trading for KSM

Jorge Ruiz, leader of the Air Protocol team, has proposed the creation of LocalKSM, a P2P exchange for KSM tokens. The project will include an app for iOS and Android, allowing users to list proposals for buying or selling KSM at specified rates and payment methods. The Air Protocol is blockchain agnostic and aims to support KSM and potentially DOTs in the future. Ruiz's previous experience includes co-founding Airtm, a platform for digital P2P dollars. The team is enthusiastic about Polkadot and Kusama and plans to develop the Air Protocol chain as a Parachain on Polkadot. The proposal can be found at the provided IPFS and Google Drive links.
