There are a few quirks still to be ironed out related to fully decoupling some logic that the staking dashboard expects, but overall I think the project is headed in the right direction with this bare-bones approach. We could even ditch rxjs for just a simple observable implementation if we chose and remove that peer dependency completely - just finding the balance between developer experience &amp; optimisation.</p>

<p>Yesterday, Staking Dashboard added AssetHub support to the Dedot API service package, in preparation for the Plaza migration that is happening on Westend in the coming hours.</p>
<p><a href="https://github.com/polkadot-cloud/polkadot-staking-dashboard/pull/2701" rel="noopener nofollow ugc">The PR</a> shows the process of adding an additional API to a service and how trivial it is for Dedot Chaintypes to be integrated.</p>
<p>What is more, 3 smoldot clients are now running when light clients are enabled.</p>

<p>During last month, we prepared and taught an exciting new track in PBA focused<br>

and guide a cohort of nearly 30 students through an immersive blockchain<br>

decentralized applications. We want to thank all the PBA team for the confidence<br>
and we are open to collaborations in the future!</p>

codec, even those deeply nested within interactions. We’ve also prepared<br>

useful information to the developer that previously was not taken into account.</p>
<h3><a name="p-29085-other-improvements-7" class="anchor" href="#p-29085-other-improvements-7"></a>Other Improvements</h3>
<p>Over the past few months, we heavily focused on supporting other ecosystem teams<br>
integrating our libraries. This led to numerous bug fixes and enhancements that<br>
significantly improved the developer experience with PAPI. Here are some key<br>
highlights:</p>
<ul>
<li>Added a <code>blocks$</code> observable to track any new blocks seen by the client.</li>
<li>Updated transaction creation to utilize the highest seen nonce rather than<br>
the nonce from the finalized block.</li>
<li>Included XCM v5 types as “known-types”.</li>
<li>Enhanced the <code>finalizedBlock$</code> observable to reliably emit every block.</li>
<li>Improved overall stability, especially concerning provider errors and<br>
reconnections.</li>
<li>CLI and Codegen enhancements to reduce errors and warnings.</li>
</ul>
<p>Additionally, we’ve continuously maintained and updated our documentation to<br>
reflect all newly added features and ensure clarity.</p>

A Polkadot Hub launch update from Business Development group: April, 2025

<p>This post was not intended to shutter the Ambassador Fellowship, quite the opposite. It is confusing I agree, but the intention is not to close the Fellowship down.</p>
<p>You have followed every step of what we have been doing and have been involved in some of the execution over the past few months. If you still believe that the work you did and the reasons you sis it are valid, join in 30mins and have your say.</p>
<p>This is another test as to whether we can stand up together and prove that we are resilient. The reactions to this post, which is not saying anything about shuttering the programme, has shown very little. Let’s change that.</p>

<p>In the broadest sense, I’m fine with sniping. But I understand it’s very frustrating for proposers, so if we can find an elegant way to get rid of it, I would support it.</p>
<p>3 additional ideas to map out the solution space:</p>
<ol>
<li>in the confirmation period, stepwise reduce the conviction options from 6 to 1</li>
<li>instead of removing conviction options, introduce candle auctions for the confirmation period → forces earlier voting, adds the drama and excitement of parachain auctions</li>
<li>Alternatively, when the confirmation period begins, start counting the votes every hour and add them to a counter. The accumulated counters at the end of the confirmation period represent the result</li>
</ol>
<p>Options 2 and 3 would mean that there is no going back to decision period if the proposal fails in confirmation</p>

<p>I’m very happy to be part of the Mexican collective. Being at Talent Land has definitely been incredible for Polkadot’s positioning. I’m confident that in the coming years we’ll do equally amazing things—or even something bigger—to keep pushing Polkadot forward. What was truly great was seeing so much enthusiasm to learn more about Polkadot and all the new faces. I hope Polkadot now focuses on promoting itself at Web2 events. Being close to companies like Amazon and Google Cloud helped them understand that Polkadot is the future of the internet.</p>

<p>+<strong>Implementation of ecosystem technology</strong>: The onchain report from Medellín Blockchain Week was presented. This initiative, led by Space4Build in collaboration with other local developer communities, featured 15 developer-focused activities that encouraged the use of as many onchain interactions as possible. - DOT can be used on Kusama through a special bridge.  
- Around 4900 DOT are on Kusama right now.  
- DOT can be sent to Kusama’s Treasury for spending.  
- A rate is set to control how much DOT can be spent (1 DOT = 10 USDC/USDT).  
- Kusama uses a rate of 1 KSM = 4 DOT for spending limits.  
- DOT and KSM have different decimal places (DOT: 10, KSM: 12).  
- This rate helps Kusama’s treasury understand DOT amounts correctly.  
- The rate is set by a governance vote.

Set Asset rate for DOT/KSM to enable treasury spends of DOT through Kusama OpenGov

- This referendum moves DOT funds to the Kusama Treasury track.  
- Polkadot and Kusama can share DOT using a bridge.
