-   — The time between proposals is too long. Why? Familiar medical issues and operational alliances were not confirmed.  We keep prospecting and closing as we reach organizations. 
-   — At some AAG Jay asked me "Why on Kusama?" and yes not only because of fast approvals, but because Kusama represents chaos, represents non-orthodox methods, continue testing and developing, like any new organization or project, and Kusama is getting mature and taking a new path from their cousin, a path on which we need people to explore the chaos and possibilities of working with true permissionless technology, only ruled by consensus. New countries could born over the decades on top of Kusama, and ghost countries or organizations could also develop for the greater good or for evil, who knows, tech should be neutral, right? But people, professionals, and decision-makers need information, and education, to get their thoughts out of the box.

**Kusama DAO Academy (KDA)** is an educational program designed to train companies, institutions, and organizations in blockchain technology, with a special focus on the Kusama/Polkadot ecosystem. The initiative aims to promote the adoption of decentralized tools such as multisig, DIDs, NFTs, and decentralized financial mechanisms.

GrowDAO the team behind this project, successfully provided education to professionals of big corporations and Universities in Mexico and Colombia such as Grupo Salinas, Banco Agrario de Colombia, Certi Cámara, Tecnológico de Monterrey and Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana. 

We acknowledge that if we leave the ecosystem for any reason the community will be affected, that's why we must accomplish this so the community can have it open source and, other Hispanic DAOs or the Ambassadors Programme can benefit from it. (I love this ecosystem, and do better every day to stay with it)

**Project Objectives**

— Blockchain Education for Companies and Institutions: Teach organizations how to use blockchain technology for fund management, transparency, and operational efficiency.

— Adoption of Kusama/Polkadot: Integrate native ecosystem tools into teaching and certification processes.

— Self-Sustaining Model: Generate revenue through paid certifications and partnerships with universities and companies. (on the mid-run) 

— Open Source Content: Publish educational materials for other DAOs and communities to use and expand upon.

— FintechU Mx: Official certification recognized by the fintech sector in Mexico, national and international curricular value for the students. FintechU Mx has a specialized curriculum about fintech and blockchain in LATAM, they have graduated more than 1000 students from many C-Level positions at many startups and corporates in LATAM.

— Production of audiovisual content and creation of educational materials in accessible formats. (Podcast and video material for Moodle)

— Open Source the Moodle Content so any DAO can use it.

## ParaSpell's Team and history:

- By now, we completed 6 Web 3 Foundation grants meant to fund the development of ParaSpell's common good tools. This goes to show our dedication to the topic and the community. We are also pushing development onwards in other cross-chain topics in the ecosystem. - We have been granted trust from the Kusama community multiple times in the following maintenance proposals that helped us further perfect XCM Tools: [Maintenance 1](../referenda/277), [Maintenance 2](../referenda/344) and [Maintenance 3](../referenda/417). [Maintenance 2](../referenda/344) is also historically 🥇first maintenance-related referenda to receive **100% AYE support** for which we are very thankful!
- Some of XCM Tools are partially / fully funded by participation in Hackathons (To maximize self-sufficiency when developing state-of-the-art tools).
- XCM API was co-funded with 🥇first place at the Polkadot Global Series APAC 2023 Hackathon in the XCM Integration track. Both team members achieved their Master's degree recently (June 2024) and are working on ParaSpell full-time. Michael is registered into for PBA X and in-person PBA Campus 2025.

## Aim of this proposal:

Kusama had a significant rise of about 50% increase, we liquidated nothing of our treasury, we hold because we know about liquidity in the ecosystem, we focus on building and onboarding, and what happens if our current proposal faces another round of price increase per KSM? (1166 KSM, 1 KSM = 18 USD) we compromise only to liquidate the necessary amount for our operations, and if the price goes up, we won’t liquidate massively. 
 
The previous proposal was 800 KSM at 25 USD per KSM. Throughout the operation, the market price remained at about 18 USD per KSM, which was translated to a loss of the original salary per member, but we kept operating doing the e-learning platform, and working as usual with all the assets of the original proposal. 
 
Our compromise is to help strive this ecosystem by being honest with any matter.

-   **Short Educational Videos:** Instead of long guides, we offer brief videos that cover the user’s journey in a blockchain, from initial setup to advanced functions, all in less time and with direct understanding.
-   **Reward-Based Missions:** Users can participate in missions designed to guide them through blockchain adoption, with token incentives for completing key actions, such as on-chain identity verification.

    -   Missions is appealing to both crypto users and those unfamiliar with crypto, as evidenced by our user experience tests in June 2024.
    -   Missions has larger and more detailed cards and includes a simple participation system (users can click to register and then submit proofs).
    -   Missions is designed to include any type of campaign that projects want to incentivize on their networks and/or protocols. It is also versatile and can experiment with new types of campaigns.
    -   Missions also has categorization, but it’s more narrowly focused.

**Problem**

We’ve identified seven key problems that our proposal could address:

1.  Limited material available in Spanish.
2.  Difficulty in quickly making Kusama and its ecosystem visible to new users.
3.  Possible perception of Kusama as a test network.
4.  Increasingly competitive multichain market. It’s harder to generate adoption among users already familiar with crypto.
5.  Barrier for non-technical users. The user journey in Kusama can be more complex compared to other networks, and it takes longer to learn, especially for communities that don’t read English or have different educational backgrounds.
6.  Technical complexity. Kusama has a highly advanced and unique architecture, along with an impressive decentralized governance system, which can be intimidating for users coming from simpler networks or those getting to know the network for the first time.
7.  Very few use cases that address local issues in Latam.

**Proposal**

We aim to position Kusama as a network for radical innovation in Spanish (1, 2, 3, and 4) by increasing its visibility and knowledge of its ecosystem (1 and 2), improving the onboarding experience (5), creating more educational resources (6), and promoting a campaign to encourage users to engage with the network (7).

**Context of the Proposal**  
  
The recent dissolution of the AMI Bounty program has left us hanging on the crossroads. We were in the midst of gaining momentum and reaching a wider audience when our funding was suddenly cut off. This has put us in a difficult position, as stopping now would mean losing the progress we've made, wasting time and resources, and potentially diminishing the impact we've had on the Polkadot community. While our initial proposal to the AMI bounty was for 3 milestones, we only received funds for half of the [first milestone](https://polkadot.dotreasury.com/#/child-bounties/1485 "first milestone"). The remaining funds for the first milestone as well as the second milestone were based on our performance of the first milestone. We had great success with the first milestone

ne going from the expected 10K views to 60K views and over 300 followers. Here is the milestone report we submitted for the next phase of funding, but unfortunately the bounty was in the process of dissolution.

We kept working on the second milestone using our own funds to keep this momentum going and it has shown exceptional results. We have 223K views and over 600 followers within a span of 3 months. To continue our work and build upon the success of our first milestone, we are seeking funding through the Polkadot Treasury. This support is crucial to maintain and expand our efforts to educate and engage the community through high-quality, daily infographics and other educational content.

Our aim is to continue our campaign to increase awareness and understanding of the Polkadot ecosystem. We are looking for retroactive and future support for our upcoming milestones. Over the next four months, we will produce daily infographics, curated articles, and regular updates on governance and parachains. Showcasing Polkadot’s Capabilities: The Spammening Test Run

We have a special project to support an artist and honor Gavin Wood. Here's what we want to do:

1. Ask an artist to paint a big picture of Gavin Wood. The artist likes Gavin and has painted famous people before.
2. Make a special digital copy, called an NFT, of the painting for all Kappa Sigma Mu members.
3. Give the real painting to Gavin Wood to say thank you.
4. Share the painting on social media.

This project will help bring people together and show how art and technology can work together. It will cost 506 KSM, which includes paying the artist, sending the painting, and other small costs. We hope you like this idea and support it.

I am writing to propose a unique and meaningful project that not only supports an emerging artist but also honors one of our key figures, Gavin Wood. The proposal is the first treasury proposal on Kusama and the timeframe and resources required are not specified.

- Encointer is asking for funding for its work from January to June 2024.  
- They fixed two concerns from a previous rejected proposal:

We believe that in the Chinese community, there should be an introductory course for PBA and a mechanism for a large number of undergraduate graduates to participate in the construction of Dotsama.

To this end, we will establish IUR-DAO and cooperate with six Chinese universities (more universities will be involved in the future). We offer PBA-based Chinese introduction courses in these six universities to guide potential developers and users to the Dotsama ecosystem through a combination of undergraduate graduates' learning, innovation and entrepreneurship. We are one of the first domestic units engaged in improving professional skills in the digital economy under the general outline of the "Digital China Development Plan". The founding team was invited to participate in China's second global blockchain industry conference in 2016. **Problem and Solution**

The basis for the continued prosperity of the Polkadot/Kusama ecosystem is a steady stream of high-quality developers. We very much agree with the educational philosophy and practical results of Polkadot/Kusama Blockchain Academy (PBA).However, the high participation threshold and steep learning experience, especially English-taught courses, have dampened the enthusiasm of a large number of potential developers and builders. We believe that in the Chinese community, there should be an introductory course for PBA and a mechanism for a large number of undergraduate graduates to participate in the construction of Polkadot/Kusama. 

To this end, we will establish IUR-DAO and cooperate with six Chinese universities （more universities will be involved in the future）to guide potential developers to the Polkadot/Kusama ecosystem through a combination of undergraduate graduates' learning, innovation and entrepreneurship. Briefly, we intend to carry out four main tasks in this proposal:

1.  Cooperate with there Universities on the Polkadot/Kusama ecological project.
2.  Create PBA Chinese introduction courses and train the university’s blockchain course instructors.
3.  Carry out graduate project design and entrepreneurial practice or join an existing parallel chain team for internship.
4.  Guide and recommend outstanding graduates to participate in Polkadot Hackathon.

In the future, we will make improvements based on the actual results of this project and promote it to more Chinese universities to cooperate with us.

**1\. PBA Chinese introductory course**  
OKRs for the 6 months period of this proposal:  
  
\- Completed the Chinese translation of PBA-Book.Based on the technical characteristics of Polkadot and the necessary knowledge points for developing basic applications, combined with the actual knowledge level of undergraduates, the PBA English course has been appropriately tailored.  
\- Trained for CUIT instructors how to use the PBA Chinese introductory course.  
\- Use the PBA Chinese introduction course to train 900 undergraduate students across the college.  
\- All recorded live streams will be uploaded to YouTube channel.  
\- Select highlights from the live streams will also be transcribed into text and published as articles.

**2.Cooperation framework with universities  
**OKRs for the 6 months period of this proposal:  
  
\- Sign a cooperation agreement with these universities.

-   Developed an innovation and entrepreneurship Polkadot/Kusama training plan for over 3000 students.  
      
    a. Innovative training project: Undergraduate students individually or in teams, under the guidance of instructors, independently complete the design of polkadot/Kusama innovative experimental methods and write summary reports, etc. The innovation training project advocates the application of projects based on practical problem research combined with the needs of cutting-edge technology in the blockchain industry, and is encouraged to be combined with undergraduate graduation thesis (design).  
      
    b. Parachain training project: Under the guidance of school instructors, each student plays one or more specific roles in the project implementation process. By conducting feasibility studies, preparing parachain plans, and simulating operations, Carry out a certain level of coding, write entrepreneurial reports, etc.  
      
    c. Entrepreneurship practice project: Under the joint guidance of school mentors and business mentors, student teams use the results of previous innovation and entrepreneurship training projects to propose an innovative product or service with market prospects, and carry out entrepreneurial practice activities based on this.

-   Select 100 outstanding papers from 1000 undergraduate graduation papers and publish them in no less than 5 mainstream blockchain media or communities in China.The total number of delivery times is not less than 100\*5.
-   Topics other than outstanding papers include introducing infrastructure projects in the Polkadot ecosystem, parachains,helping the community understand ecological diversity and the experiences during the learning process.
-   Design and produce a graduation certificate in the form of NFT.

Building on the success of last year's event, which attracted over 100 participants, we plan to host workshops, panel discussions, and networking opportunities to drive innovation and knowledge sharing.
