- Subsocial is creating a way for people to chat on-chain about anything in the Polkadot ecosystem, like proposals, markets, and accounts.
- Right now, discussions happen off-chain in places like Discord and Telegram, which makes it harder for people to engage with dapps.
- Subsocial built Grill.chat to show how easy it is to chat on-chain without needing to create an account first.
- OpenComm will let all governance discussions happen on-chain, making them easy to access from different platforms.
- This can also be used for other things, like discussing NFTs or sports bets directly on-chain.
- Multiple projects are already working to use OpenComm.
- Subsocial shared a full proposal with more details and is asking for feedback.

Subsocial is proposing an Open Communication Layer for the Polkadot ecosystem, consolidating siloed discussions and enabling users to chat on-chain about any entity or resource.
