KSM RFP #3 - Kusama.App ~ $100K price!

DotShield is a new Web3 bot designed to improve security in Telegram and Discord communities within the Polkadot and Kusama ecosystem. It helps with moderation, verification, and scam prevention. Here are some key points about DotShield:

1. It solves the problem of existing bots that use easy-to-bypass captchas instead of Web3 verification.
2. DotShield allows groups to set their own criteria for membership, like balance thresholds and council membership.
3. It is important because it helps protect Web3 communities from spam, bot invasions, and scams.
4. The creator of DotShield learned to code to make this solution after being frustrated with existing options.
5. DotShield has features like dynamic chain state verification, single sign-in for Web3 users, flexible moderation, scam prevention, and expansion to Discord.
6. The creator is asking for funding to support the deployment and expansion of DotShield.
7. Users have given DotShield good feedback, with suggestions for improvement like more detailed guides and better transparency about data handling.
8. Many users would recommend DotShield to others and support its adoption across the Polkadot ecosystem.

PolkaTalent: Recruiting Web3 freelance devs for early user journey interviews

Kusama AssetHub has registered several assets with Polkadot Assethub as the owner. These assets include popular tokens like ETH, WETH, USDT, USDC, and many others. The goal is to support bridging ERC-20 tokens from Ethereum to Kusama in two steps: first from Ethereum to Polkadot, and then from Polkadot to Kusama using the P<>K bridge. A test demonstrating this process has been added to a GitHub repository.

[Whitelisted Caller] - Register Snowbridge ERC-20 Assets on Kusama

KSM RFP #2 - RFP Launcher Dapp - $12k Total Prize!

This proposal is about changing the target for coretime sales in the Kusama ecosystem. The main idea is to adjust the "ideal_bulk_proportion" parameter from 100% to 40%. This change will help coretime prices be more realistic and benefit the Kusama ecosystem. The main use of KSM is to pay for coretime, but the current prices are very low, which is not good for the system. By making this change, we can find the true value of coretime and keep the current inflation rate that supports validator operations. This is just a starting point, and the parameter can be adjusted in the future based on how the market responds and the needs of the ecosystem.

Kusama Fellowship Referenda 97 is a proposal to increase the parachain validator set size from 600 to 700, keeping the maximum backing group size at 5. This change will increase the total number of usable cores to 140. The proposal also updates the setNDelayTranches from 257 to 299 to maintain the number of assignments per candidate at around 2.33. The justification for this parameter can be found in the ELVES paper and a discussion on the Polkadot SDK GitHub page.

[Whitelisted Caller] Increasing max_validators to 700

We want to move Youdle DAO's money to a safer place called Kusama Treasury. The people who control the money now, Invarch team, have made some bad choices with the money before. They moved a lot of ASTAR money without telling anyone. People are worried and want to know what's going on, but the team doesn't give clear answers.

To keep the money safe, we should move the rest of the money (400 KSM) to Kusama, where it can be managed better. Later, we will give the money back to Youdle DAO in a way that everyone can see and trust. We hope everyone will agree with this plan to keep the DAO's money safe.

Here are some examples of why we don't trust the Invarch team:
- They moved money to a place called CEX without a good reason.
- They were supposed to share Pink tokens with the community, but they gave a lot to their own founder instead.
- They launched a new token called VARCH, and people who bought it lost a lot of money.
- They didn't give all the KSM tokens they promised.
- They shut down a project called Tinkernet and gave people VARCH tokens instead, which turned out to be bad too.

KSM RFP #1 - Shielded Kusama Hub Transfers - $50k Total Prize!

The Fellowship Collective is a group that works on projects related to Polkadot. They have rules that members must follow. If someone breaks these rules, they might be removed from the group. A person named Invarch did not follow the rules, so Gabe, who is an important member, thinks Invarch should not be part of the group anymore. The rules are called "tenets" and they are:

1. Always support Polkadot and not do things that hurt it.
2. Understand and follow the ideas and beliefs of Polkadot.
3. Follow the group's rules, habits, and ways of voting.
4. Be nice to other members and the people in the community.

Reducing Inflation is a proposal to adjust Kusama's inflation parameters. The proposal suggests reducing the annual inflation rate from 10% to 5%, as the ecosystem has matured enough for long-term sustainability. The changed parameters include setting MaxInflation to 5% and changing UseAuctionSlots from true to false. The proposal also discusses reducing ideal bulk coretime sales to increase demand for KSM and adjust the core business model. The ideal bulk proportion is suggested to be changed from 100% to 40%. The proposer, a Kusama enthusiast, hopes the proposal will be well-received and contribute to the ecosystem's growth.

Reducing inflation and setting a realistic target for coretime sales

Birdbrain is a proposal to establish a leaderless Krievo-based collective as Kusama's on-chain innovation agency. The collective aims to coordinate the 10M DOT pledged by the Web3 Foundation to drive progress, unite KSM holders, ecosystem stakeholders, and new talent under a banner of bold innovation. Birdbrain addresses Kusama's fragmented efforts, unclear coordination, and erratic funding by uniting talent, coordinating chaos, and creating a cultural symbol. The collective can evolve into a multi-faceted face of the network, including a collective, brand, bounty, agency, bridge, product, template, and platform. Birdbrain is driven by principles of sustainability, regeneration, optimism, leadership, equity, diversity, support, scalability, and experimentation. Membership is based on the submission of original ideas, visuals, concepts, or artifacts as tribute to the network. The objectives of Birdbrain include activating funds, redefining Kusama, and reigniting its potential as a cultural force.

[Runtime 1.4.2] Upgrade Asset Hub

This message is about a proposal to give money to help Public RPC Providers for 7 months. RPC Providers help with a computer system called Kusama. The proposal will cost $107,237.98 in total. The money will be given to the best service providers who follow the rules. If the service is not good, the providers can lose money or not get any. This plan has helped to reduce other funding requests and make providers charge a fair price. More information can be found in a link provided.

KSM trading has started on Hydration after referendum #490 approved 33,333 KSM in Treasury LP, allowing liquidity between Kusama and Polkadot chains. When transferring assets between the two chains, if a user doesn't have enough KSM/DOT, a portion of the asset is swapped for the native token to pay fees. However, the current liquidity is not enough, causing users to lose more assets to fees than expected. A new proposal aims to provide 333 KSM to a 2/2 multisig with signers Leemo & lolmcshizz. This will be split between Kusama AssetHub and Polkadot AssetHub to provide a base level of liquidity on each network, ensuring users only pay expected fees when making transfers. Any extra tokens will be returned to their respective treasuries.
